Position Summary:

The Technology Project Coordinator will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will be responsible for overseeing significant initiatives within the IT Department. This role requires a unique combination of leadership, project management, and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of both Agile and traditional project management methodologies. The Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders to improve business and IT processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure successful project delivery. Assess business and IT processes to identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to implement effective solutions. Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of project lifecycles, utilizing appropriate methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.). Create comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocation. Monitor project execution and evaluate effectiveness, ensuring that objectives are met.
  • Collaboration: Engage with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive institutional projects and support strategic goals. Facilitate workgroups to enhance business processes and implement solutions for complex challenges.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of project progress, including reports, dashboards, and other relevant materials. Ensure that all project-related documents are complete and accessible.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.
  • Experience in a project management role for 5-8 years.
  • Commitment to working with a diverse community.
Preferred:
  • Advanced degree or relevant experience in a technology-related field.
  • Proven experience in both Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience with IT implementations and upgrades in complex environments.
  • Certifications in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, CSM).
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience managing capital IT projects.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools, including Asana.
  • Commitment to accessibility and diversity in project execution.
