Your Role and Responsibilities


Your duties will include the design and documentation of new features, coding, automation of testing processes, troubleshooting, performance evaluation, and resolving client issues.

Participation in Open Source community gatherings is encouraged and supported, along with opportunities for client engagement (e.g., client support, delivering presentations at industry events).

You will collaborate closely with relevant Open Source communities ('upstream integration' of your contributions) and our distribution partners.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Open Source development, particularly in Linux Kernel, KVM, QEMU, or virtio.

- Over 2 years of experience in low-level/assembler programming on ARM architectures (preferably 64-bit).

- Proficient understanding of operating system internals (e.g., memory management, task scheduling, interrupts, device drivers).

- Advanced skills in source code management systems (e.g., git), scripting languages (e.g., Python), and test automation (e.g., Jenkins).

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

- Contributions to Open Source projects or holding maintainer status for several years.

- Knowledge of current I/O technologies (e.g., PCI, NVMe, RDMA).

- Familiarity with virtualization and emulation technologies (e.g., QEMU TCG).

- Expertise in platform and I/O device management (e.g., UEFI, ACPI).

- A strong sense of motivation and demonstrated communication skills.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. Salary will vary based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
