We are specifically seeking individuals to expand our KVM development team, focusing on KVM/kernel, QEMU, and libvirt.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in Open Source development, particularly in KVM, Linux kernel, QEMU, libvirt, virtio, or vfio.
  • At least 2 years of experience in low-level or assembler development, ideally on non-x86 architectures.
  • 2+ years in operating systems and virtualization/hypervisor development.
  • Expertise in operating systems internals, including memory management, task scheduling, interrupts, and device drivers.
  • Proficient in source code management systems, particularly git, as well as scripting languages like Python and test automation tools such as Jenkins.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience contributing to Open Source projects or holding maintainer status.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and emulation technologies.
  • Familiarity with current I/O technologies such as PCI, NVMe, and RDMA.
  • Understanding of IBM Z architecture and related concepts.
  • Strong motivation and excellent communication skills.
