Your Responsibilities


Your role will involve:

  • Designing and specifying new enhancements for the Linux Kernel.
  • Engaging in coding, test automation, and problem resolution.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and addressing client issues.

Your participation in Open Source community meetings is encouraged and supported, and you may also engage in client-facing activities such as providing support and presenting at conferences.

You will work closely with Open Source communities to ensure the integration of your contributions and collaborate with our distribution partners.


Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Open Source development, particularly in Linux Kernel, KVM, QEMU, or virtio.
  • At least 2 years of experience in low-level/assembler programming on ARM architectures, preferably 64-bit.
  • Proficient understanding of operating system internals, including memory management, task scheduling, interrupts, and device drivers.
  • Expertise in source code management systems, particularly git, as well as scripting languages like Python and test automation tools such as Jenkins.
Preferred Skills

  • Proven contributions to Open Source projects or holding maintainer status.
  • Familiarity with current I/O technologies such as PCI, NVMe, and RDMA.
  • Knowledge of virtualization and emulation technologies, including QEMU TCG.
  • Experience in platform and I/O device management, including UEFI and ACPI.

You should be highly motivated and possess strong communication skills.
