Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enhancements to the Linux kernel, particularly for IBM Z / LinuxOne architecture.
  • Collaborate with international development teams and Open Source communities to ensure high-quality contributions.
  • Engage in coding, test automation, performance analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Participate in Open Source community meetings and contribute to upstream integration of code.
  • Support client interactions through technical assistance and presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in Open Source development related to KVM, Linux kernel, QEMU, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in low-level programming and operating systems development.
  • Proficient in operating systems internals, including memory management and device drivers.
  • Familiarity with source code management systems and scripting languages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established contributions to Open Source projects.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and current I/O standards.
  • Experience with IBM Z architecture and related concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
