ARM Linux Kernel Engineer

Compensation: Salary ranges from $130,000 to $165,000 per year, with a sign-on bonus included.

Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid work model, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Your Role:
As a Linux Kernel Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and specifying new enhancements for the Linux kernel.
- Developing code and automating tests to ensure quality.
- Identifying and resolving issues, including performance analysis and bug fixing.
- Engaging with Open Source communities and distribution partners.
- Participating in client-facing activities, including support and conference presentations.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Open Source development, particularly with Linux Kernel, KVM, QEMU, or virtio.
- At least 2 years of experience in low-level programming on ARM architectures, preferably 64-bit.
- In-depth knowledge of operating system internals, including memory management, task scheduling, interrupts, and device drivers.
- Proficiency in source code management systems like Git, scripting languages such as Python, and test automation tools like Jenkins.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated contributions to Open Source projects or maintained a status as an Open Source maintainer for several years.
- Familiarity with current I/O technologies, including PCI, NVMe, and RDMA.
- Experience with virtualization and emulation technologies, such as QEMU TCG.
- Knowledge of platform and I/O device management, including UEFI and ACPI.
- A strong motivation to excel and effective communication skills.
