- Research and plan for future electric vehicle charging infrastructure to support our sustainability goals.
- Research and plan for Camp Dodge utility metering upgrades to improve our energy efficiency.
- Negotiate and monitor utility contracts to ensure that we are getting the best possible rates.
- Conduct ASHRAE Level II Energy Audits to identify areas for energy savings and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Create project proposals to compete for Federal Energy Funding to support our energy conservation efforts.
- Communicate technical information effectively with coworkers, tradespersons, contractors, and management, both orally and in writing.
- Prepare and present proposals, economic analysis, and cost-benefit figures to gain agency support and cooperation in implementing energy-saving recommendations.
As an Energy Manager at the State of Iowa, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment that values innovation and collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about sustainability and energy conservation.
Requirements- Seven years of full-time work experience in the administration or operation/execution of a program, or
- One year of full-time work experience in the administration or operation/execution of a program, plus a total of four years of education and full-time experience, or
- Graduation from an accredited school of law, or
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes nine months of full-time work as a Program Planner 2 or twenty-seven months of full-time work as a Program Planner 1.
