Courtyard San Diego Carlsbad Food and Beverage Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Courtyard San Diego Carlsbad. As a key member of our hotel team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests enjoy a high-quality dining experience that meets their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Train, and Mentor Food and Beverage Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of food and beverage staff to provide exceptional service to our guests.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong work ethic and lead by example, ensuring that all food and beverage staff adhere to our high standards of service and quality.
  • Monitor Food and Beverage Deliveries: Oversee the receipt and storage of food and beverage deliveries, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards.
  • Manage Cash Control and Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate records of food and beverage sales, expenses, and inventory levels, providing regular financial reports to management.
  • Develop Sales Promotion Efforts: Create and implement sales promotion strategies to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed profit objectives.
Requirements:
  • Effective Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and guests.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate, prevent, and resolve guest complaints and issues.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Possess strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure that all food and beverage operations are running smoothly.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000-$70,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including group insurance, paid time off, and a company-matched 401(k) plan.
