JOB TITLE: Financial Accountant
Company Overview: Gioffre & Company LLP is a comprehensive accounting, tax, financial advisory, bookkeeping, and payroll service provider, currently in search of a committed Financial Accountant.
Full Job Description:
We are seeking a Financial Accountant who will be instrumental in managing various responsibilities, including the preparation of tax filings, financial reports, and analytics. If you possess a strong affinity for numerical data, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and have a robust understanding of accounting standards, you may be the perfect candidate for our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Supporting senior accountants in the development of tax and financial statement workpapers
- Managing the preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate tax filings (training will be provided)
- Engaging with clients to resolve their accounting and tax-related inquiries
- Executing tax planning strategies for individuals and businesses
Required Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a fast-paced team environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills, with a prompt approach to addressing queries and resolving issues
- Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in Windows-based systems, particularly Excel and MS Word
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in the field of Accounting (Preferred)
Work Environment:
- Partial/Hybrid remote work options available
