ROLE SUMMARY - Oversee shelter management to ensure a secure environment.

  • Remain alert to the shelter environment and address any concerns
  • Guarantee the safety of both clients and staff members
  • Keep thorough shift logs and documentation
  • Report any issues to the Program Director
  • Interact with clients to comprehend and meet their needs
  • Participate in staff meetings and training opportunities
  • Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years of sobriety
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Empathy towards low-income populations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage crises
  • Understanding of substance abuse and mental health issues
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Capability to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Able to navigate stairs

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

  • Reports directly to the Program Director
  • This position does not have direct reports
