Pine Street Inn is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Shelter Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Services: Provide direct care to guests, responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Housing Pathway Development: Assist guests in developing and implementing a housing plan, connecting them with resources and services to achieve stable housing.
- Resource Connection: Connect guests with substance abuse, mental health, and medical resources, ensuring their needs are met and they receive the support they require.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately enter data into the Homeless Management Information (HMIS) system and document reports in accordance with agency policy.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience in the Human Services field.
- Skills: Ability to stand for long periods, stretch, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds; ability to assist guests up and down stairs and in-and-out of wheelchairs; ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
- Valid MA Driver's License: In good standing.
- Bilingual English/Spanish: Preferred.
- Administering Narcan and CPR: In a work setting.
- Knowledge: Addiction, recovery, and mental illness; knowledge of area resources.
