Position Summary:

The Wind Farm Technician Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of wind energy facilities. This full-time, permanent position is essential for maintaining safety standards and optimizing the availability of wind farms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute maintenance tasks safely and in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assist in the performance and acceptance testing of systems post-maintenance or outages.
  • Support turbine maintenance activities, including servicing and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in Balance of Plant procedures, including maintenance of substations and collection systems.
  • Maintain records of service activities through a digital maintenance management system.
  • Provide technical guidance to the Operations and Maintenance team.
  • Ensure readiness and accountability of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for an associate degree in a relevant field. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in operations or maintenance within power generation, with at least 1 year in wind turbine operations being advantageous.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Current Journeyman or Master Electrician License, or Wind Technician Certification.
  • Military experience in a technical field is preferred.
  • Ability to work safely in various environmental conditions and perform physical tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
Work Environment:

This position involves working in and around energized wind turbine generators and balance of plant equipment. Employees will be required to work both indoors and outdoors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times.
