Position: Wind Energy Maintenance Technician

Overview: As a Wind Energy Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation and upkeep of multiple wind energy facilities. Your primary focus will be on safety and maximizing the availability of our wind farms in alignment with our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all maintenance and operational tasks in a safe manner, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in conducting performance evaluations and acceptance tests on systems and equipment following maintenance or outages.
  • Participate in safety drills and other wind farm-related assignments as required.
  • Support turbine maintenance activities, including servicing, major component replacements, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with Balance of Plant operations, including maintenance of substations and collection systems.
  • Uphold the company's core values and behaviors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in operations and/or maintenance within power generation, with a preference for wind turbine experience.
  • Possession of relevant certifications or licenses can substitute for experience.
  • Military experience in a technical discipline is advantageous.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to relocate within a reasonable distance of the site.
  • Physical capability to climb wind towers and perform tasks in various environmental conditions.

Work Environment: The role involves working in and around energized wind turbine generators and associated equipment, both indoors and outdoors.
