Position Overview:
As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Emergency Room Patient Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients, ensuring their psychiatric and physical needs are effectively addressed. This position involves collecting and communicating observational data, assisting with daily living activities, and closely monitoring patient conditions.

Building trust and collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals is essential. This is achieved through thorough patient assessments, vigilant monitoring, and clear, effective communication.

Compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures, is paramount to safeguard patient privacy and ensure the highest standard of care.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal education requirements.
High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.

DEPARTMENT-SPECIFIC CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

Department:
Kahi-Child & Adolescence Services and KAHI-Social Services-Child & Adolescence, CAN-Child Abuse & Neglect.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Familiarity with mental health principles and the tools utilized in treating patients with diverse disorders is essential.
The ability to interpret various forms of data and instructions, whether written, oral, or visual, is required.
Demonstrated understanding of clinical diagnoses pertinent to the mental health sector.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to convey sensitive information clearly and professionally to a diverse audience, including those without medical backgrounds.

Excellent time management and organizational abilities are crucial, including the capacity to prioritize tasks and adhere to established procedures and scientific methods to meet objectives and deadlines.

Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic health records (EHR), is expected.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Capable of identifying, assessing, and resolving standard issues by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of each patient's protected health information (PHI).
Fostering collaborative relationships with colleagues and other healthcare providers is essential to achieving departmental and organizational goals.
Assisting patients with daily activities, such as eating, bathing, and mobility, is a key responsibility.

Pay Range is $22.94 to $28.67 / hour. The salary range for this role may vary based on location and other factors.
