We welcome visitors throughout the week, providing an opportunity to explore the intricate process of honey wine production in a welcoming and educational environment. Our approach to hospitality is genuine and down-to-earth, ensuring a memorable experience for our diverse clientele.Position Summary
We are seeking a part-time, seasoned Tasting Room Supervisor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality or the wine sector, showcasing energy, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication skills.
Applicants should be available to work both weekend days, demonstrate a willingness to engage in various aspects of our operations, maintain adaptability in a dynamic setting, and enjoy engaging in physically demanding tasks.
The Tasting Room Supervisor is an integral part of our Hospitality team, reporting directly to the General Manager.
This role is part-time and hourly, requiring flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and occasionally evenings. Some overtime may be necessary.
Essential Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the Tasting Room and general hospitality functions.
Perform scheduled shifts in the Tasting Room, managing tasks related to opening, closing, and daily operations.
Provide support for Tasting Room Staff during breaks, lunches, and peak times.Uphold high service standards as outlined in our Philosophy of Service.
Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome upon arrival and exceptional service throughout their visit.
Educate guests about our unique story, methods, and current initiatives.
Maintain organization in the Tasting Room and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth workflow, including inventory tracking, tidying, restocking, and reorganizing.
Ensure cleanliness and aesthetic appeal in the Tasting Room, including merchandise, floral arrangements, and educational displays.Process sales transactions and facilitate club membership sign-ups.
Communicate updates and status to Tasting Room Management.
Other responsibilities as required by seasonal demands.
Skills and Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in hospitality, wine, or a related field.
Previous experience in a tasting room is preferred.
3-5 years of customer service experience.
Professional demeanor.
Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
Strong sales capabilities, with a focus on fostering brand loyalty and increasing club memberships.
Familiarity with winery POS and reservation systems, including WineDirect and Tock.
Proficient in Microsoft Office:
Word & Excel or Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions, including hot and cold environments.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings is essential.
