Key Responsibilities:

IT Specialists serve as the primary responders for technical challenges affecting staff, playing a vital role in the seamless operation of the organization. They manage our helpdesk and engage in IT Triage rotations to address inquiries and resolve issues that may hinder team productivity.

These professionals collaborate frequently with mechanical engineers, neurosurgeons, materials scientists, software engineers, veterinary technicians, and other specialists to diagnose and resolve critical problems. Their responsibilities encompass network connectivity, operating systems, identity and access management, onboarding and offboarding processes, and other essential business operations.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Exceptional customer service abilities, focused on delivering an outstanding experience for internal team members.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and willing to tackle tasks of varying complexity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient debugging skills, with the capability to escalate more complex issues to the broader team.
  • Able to create, maintain, and enhance internal documentation for team processes.
  • Familiarity with SaaS productivity tools (GSuite, MS Office) and user management systems (Microsoft Entra, Google Workspace).
  • Experience in provisioning and managing Windows, macOS, and/or Linux systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in network engineering with various vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, and Ubiquiti.
  • Understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DNS, DHCP, and WPA.
  • Experience in managing Audio/Video conferencing setups for clear and reliable communication.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management solutions like Apple Business Essentials and Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience in supporting production lines, medical systems, and/or laboratory environments.
  • Proficiency in software scripting with tools such as Python, Ruby, Shell, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of security principles and compliance requirements.

Texas Hourly Rate Range:

$19-$42/hr USD

For Full-Time Employees, the compensation package includes two main components: salary and equity.
