Compensation:
$65,000 - $90,000 with potential for bonuses, vehicle package, and mobile allowance

Position Overview:


Nelson Pipeline is in search of a driven and experienced Project Management Support Specialist based in the Fort Lupton, CO office.

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-level assistance to the Project Management team, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and efficient project execution.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Assistance: Aid in reviewing project initiation documents such as NTP, NOA, or contracts.
  • Client Coordination: Support the alignment of client agreements, approved plans, and accurate estimates.
  • Financial Management: Assist in managing Purchase Orders (POs) and Subcontracts (SLs), and address scope gaps with guidance from the Senior Project Manager.

Schedule Management:
Assist in the creation and upkeep of project schedules, incorporating field input, quantity verifications, and site assessments.

Change Order Management:
Facilitate the coordination of change orders, including forward pricing when feasible, and assist in managing Time and Material (T&M) efforts and client communications.

Production Analysis:
Ensure accurate quantities in software systems and generate reports, reviewing actuals against estimated/budgeted figures and discussing results with the field team.

Client Engagement:
Maintain consistent verbal and documented communication with clients, supporting regular meetings to discuss progress, impacts, and change orders.

Assist in overseeing safety protocols and participating in safety reviews. Support adherence to quality standards through regular checks and coordination with inspectors. Aid in monitoring and managing project finances, including change orders, and assist in overseeing office and field obligations related to materials. Support submittals, long lead item identification, purchase order approval, and inventory management. Assist in the creation and management of project budgets, preparing progress billings, and ensuring proper invoicing and retention procedures. Help maintain contract status and resolve pending change orders. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred. Previous experience or internship in a construction-related role preferred. Basic understanding of construction project management processes. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. 1-2 years of experience preferred.
