Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing classroom activities, work with small groups and individual students to support their learning and development, and supervise students during play and other activities.

Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing classroom activities, including lesson planning, instructional delivery, and assessment.
  • Student Support: Work with small groups and individual students to support their learning and development, including providing academic support, behavioral guidance, and emotional support.
  • Supervision: Supervise students during play and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Environment: Help to maintain a safe and positive learning environment, including maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or 60+ hours of college credits.
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years paraprofessional or special education experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, patience and empathy, creativity and imagination.

  • Competitive Pay: $20-25/hr depending upon personal experience.
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, insurance, 401k, and other benefits.
  • Contract: Contracted from August to June, with a strong likelihood of renewing for the next school year.
