Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and enhance the national sales team and the policies associated with all services offered by the company (excluding final products). Achieving results through effective and innovative leadership of the sales initiative is crucial. This position will focus on training, professional growth, coaching, and oversight of all sales personnel. Building relationships with each division's general manager and branch manager at every location will be vital in establishing and determining sales objectives within each region.

- Design and execute new sales processes and policies for the organization, including defining the roles of sales personnel, transitioning them into their new responsibilities, and developing a compensation structure that drives overall profitability.
- Oversee the daily operations of the national sales team to ensure adherence to established sales processes and achievement of set goals.
- Collaborate with divisions to create annual sales budgets for services, taking into account operational constraints and approved pricing.
- Establish quarterly and annual sales targets in partnership with division requirements by service type and production objectives.
- Set quantitative benchmarks and metrics for the sales team and inspire them to meet these targets.
- Collect and analyze market data on competitors' products, pricing, and activities, reporting findings to the Pricing Committee.
- Review customer interactions, anticipate needs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Possess extensive knowledge of the company's service offerings and pricing structures nationwide.
- Collaborate with the National Accounts Center on national customer care requirements.
- Identify service areas beyond the company's direct service region to ensure coverage for accounts.
- Advise on customer inquiries and requirements to maintain competitiveness.
- Directly assist and manage key accounts as necessary.
- Work closely with management and Corporate Procurement to develop new markets, products, equipment, and services.
- Coordinate with the Marketing/Public Relations team to ensure consistent branding materials that meet the sales team's needs.
- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with client requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify new potential customers and opportunities.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements with customers for handover to account managers.
- Engage with others in a professional and ethical manner.
- Adhere to departmental and company procedures.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, which are essential for the smooth operation of the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the business, adapting as business needs evolve.
- Demonstrated experience as a manager, director, or VP of sales leading a team of at least 10 direct reports.
- Proven track record of managing a high-performing sales team.
- Familiarity with CRM software and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to comprehend and analyze sales performance metrics.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent negotiation skills.
- Capability to read, analyze, and collaborate with legal on agreements and negotiations.
- Exceptional communication and management skills.
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in sales, business administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Constantly (over 2/3):
- Utilizes computer and other office productivity equipment such as calculators, copiers, and printers.
- Remains stationary for 50% or more of the time.
- Reviews documents, organizes data, and verifies information accuracy.
- Communicates with customers and colleagues, exchanging accurate information in person, over the phone, and via electronic means.
