Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to join our team at Cayuga Primary Care Ithaca Mall. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Check in patients upon arrival and verify/update patient demographics
  • Collect outstanding balances and co-pays, and assist with additional scheduling as needed
  • Take messages and triage phone calls, ensuring timely and effective communication with patients and healthcare providers
  • Utilize Medent and Microsoft Office to manage patient records and schedules
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous medical office experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Medent and Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting 90% of the time, with occasional standing and walking
  • Reaching, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds, with occasional heavy lifting
Location and Travel Requirements
  • Onsite at Cayuga Primary Care Ithaca Mall, 40 Catherwood Rd, Ithaca
Pay Range Disclosure
  • $19.50 to $23.00 per hour
