Patient Service Coordinator

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake, including greeting and checking in patients, verifying and updating patient demographics
- Assist patients with completing consent forms and other necessary paperwork
- Process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered
- Initiate calls, pages, and triage phone calls to ensure timely and effective communication
- Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and other customer service or clerical duties
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Professional manner and appearance essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently required
- Good time management and prioritization skills essential
Preferred Qualifications
- College-level training or education in a healthcare support field preferred
- Previous experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and Microsoft Office Suite helpful
- Knowledge of medical terminology and practices a plus
Work Environment
- 80% standing, 20% sitting
Pay Range
- $19.50 to $23.00 per hour
