Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Cayuga Primary Care. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and mid-level providers with clinical activities and direct patient care, while also assisting patients and staff with administrative and clerical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support physicians and mid-level providers with clinical activities and direct patient care
  • Assist patients with filling out consent forms and verifying/update patient demographics
  • Process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered
  • Initiate calls, pages, and triage phone calls
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and other customer service or clerical duties
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Professional manner and appearance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous medical office experience
  • College-level training/education in a healthcare support field
  • Previous EMR use/training
Work Environment

This role is based at Cayuga Primary Care, 2nd floor, Cayuga Park, 401 Cayuga Park Lane, Ithaca. The schedule will include some iteration of 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, depending on staffing rotation.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $15.00 to $23.00 per hour.
