Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient intake, including greeting and checking in patients, verifying and updating patient demographics
  • Assist patients with completing consent forms and other necessary paperwork
  • Process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered
  • Initiate calls, pages, and triage phone calls to ensure timely and effective communication
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and other customer service or clerical duties

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Professional manner and appearance essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently required
  • Good time management and prioritization skills essential

Preferred Qualifications
  • College-level training or education in a healthcare support field preferred
  • Previous experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and Microsoft Office Suite helpful
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and practices a plus

Work Environment
  • 80% standing, 20% sitting

Pay Range
  • $15 to $23.00 per hour
