Patient Services Representative Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check in patients upon arrival and verify/update patient demographics
  • Collect outstanding balances and co-pays, and verify insurances
  • Take messages and triage phone calls, and provide excellent customer service
  • Support the physicians and/or mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous medical office experience preferred
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and providers
