Position Overview:
This role involves executing governmental financial responsibilities with a high degree of independence and analytical judgment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Financial Documentation Management:**
- Ensure the accuracy and upkeep of financial records and documents.
- Input, match, and post financial data meticulously.

2. **Payroll Administration:**
- Oversee the complete payroll process, including preparation, auditing, and distribution of paychecks.
- Maintain comprehensive salary and wage records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

3. **Accounts Receivable and Payable:**
- File reimbursement claims and manage billing for services rendered.
- Assist in processing credit card transactions and maintain banking operations.

4. **Capital Asset Management:**
- Administer the inventory of capital assets, ensuring adherence to district policies.
- Conduct regular audits of physical inventory.

5. **Auditing and Compliance:**
- Perform internal audits of accounting practices and assist with external audits as required.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB standards.

Qualifications:
- Proficient in governmental accounting principles and practices.
- Strong skills in Excel, QuickBooks, and payroll systems.
- Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.

Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze problems and propose effective solutions.

Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
