Position Overview:
This role involves executing governmental financial operations that require independent judgment and decision-making capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Financial Documentation Management:**
- Ensure the accuracy and upkeep of financial records and documents.
- Input, match, and post relevant information diligently.

2. **Payroll Administration:**
- Oversee the complete payroll process, including preparation, auditing, and distribution of paychecks.
- Maintain and compute salary data, including adjustments for cost of living and overtime.
- Address inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and benefits in a timely manner.

3. **Accounts Receivable and Payable:**
- Manage billing for inspections and permits, ensuring timely collection of outstanding claims.
- Support the accounts payable function and assist with credit card transaction postings.

4. **Capital Asset Management:**
- Administer capital asset inventory in compliance with district policies, including conducting physical audits.

5. **Auditing and Compliance:**
- Conduct internal audits of accounting controls and assist with payroll audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB standards during financial reporting.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in governmental accounting and auditing.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and ADP.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.

Additional Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with applicable labor laws and payroll regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and the capacity to maintain confidentiality.
