Associate Director Accounting

As an Associate Director of Accounting, you'll play a critical role in supporting our organization's growth and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational and technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with US GAAP, Company policies, rules, and laws.
  • Collaborate with Optum Insight finance partners to drive sound business decisions.
  • Lead and manage a team of accountants and senior accountants to successfully execute roles and responsibilities, including the month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Coordinate and support the Company's strategic and operational planning activities.
  • Support various special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 6+ years demonstrated progression in an accounting or finance-focused role.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlines.
  • Intermediate or advanced working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and/or CPA/CMA licensure.
  • 4+ years of public accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience successfully managing multiple requests, assessing priorities, and achieving solutions under deadlines.
  • Proven advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive detailed data.
