Job Title: Director of Facilities

About the Role:

Foss Swim School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facilities to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including our pools, pump rooms, and school facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage vendors and contracted services to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of our facilities.
  • Procure necessary parts and equipment to maximize building equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Lead District Facility Managers and/or Facility Maintenance Techs to ensure that our facilities are well-maintained and meet the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in facility management, with a proven track record of success.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as facilities management or engineering.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas to facilities team and vendors.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues or make proactive recommendations and lead through influence.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25-50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
  • Must be able to speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Must be able to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Must be able to review documents, blueprints, computer monitors or displays with potentially small print.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, phone and other common office tools or controls.
  • Must be able to mentally focus on tasks and apply sound reasoning and judgement.
  • Must be able to work in an indoor pool facility that could be humid and damp.
  • 15% Travel Expected.
