Clinical Operations Nurse Supervisor Job Overview:

The primary objective is to facilitate and guarantee that resident care is delivered in a secure and efficient manner, while adhering to the principles of resident rights, compliance with state regulations, and in alignment with established nursing care standards and practices for elder care.

This role involves overseeing daily clinical and administrative operations, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute personalized care plans for residents.

As a mentor and leader, this position fosters a positive work environment while offering guidance and support to the community. It also entails close collaboration with families, addressing their concerns and providing updates on residents' well-being.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active Nurse license in good standing with the State Licensing Authority.
  • Experience in training and team member development is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in dementia care or managing multiple chronic conditions in individuals.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with residents, family members, and team members.
  • Proficiency in reading, comprehending, writing, and speaking English for effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong documentation skills and basic computer proficiency, including Word and Excel.
  • Capability to develop systems for monitoring resident health and ensuring safe delivery of care.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks based on the fluctuating needs of residents and the community.
  • Professional representation of the community is essential.
  • Compliance with all health-related requirements for state licensure.
  • Maintenance of current CPR/First Aid and Food Handlers credentials.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and training.
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
  • Subject to pre-employment screening, including drug/alcohol testing and background checks.

Key Responsibilities:

Management: Collaborate with the Executive Director and Health & Wellness Director to implement care principles and processes, including resident assessments, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluations.

Assist in developing and delivering training on human behavior, individual differences, and psychological research methods.

Participate in identifying complex issues and developing solutions as part of the Leadership Team.

Supervise care team members, including hiring, training, evaluating, and addressing performance issues.

Ensure compliance with current OSHA and state regulations related to resident care.


Recruitment & Scheduling:

Lead the recruitment process for the care team, including candidate selection and onboarding.

Employ diverse recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates and manage scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.


Resident Care:

Assist with resident assessments and care plan development, ensuring involvement of residents and families in care planning.

Monitor resident health conditions and ensure effective medication management.

Document and communicate changes in resident conditions to relevant parties.


Other Duties:

Attend required meetings and training sessions, uphold residents' rights, and maintain reliable attendance.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.


Compensation:

Hourly wage range of 36-38.
