Job Overview

ATTRACTIVE COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

NIGHT SHIFT FROM 5PM TO 5AM

Support the supervisor in managing the daily production activities and resources, including task assignments, training, and coverage for breaks and vacations in production roles. Lead a shift to ensure the production of high-quality products while completing all assigned sanitation duties. Optimize the efficiency of all machinery while reducing turnaround times. Ensure adherence to all GMP, HACCP, safety, and other regulatory and plant policies and procedures. Meet all production targets or document and report any reasons for unmet goals. Promote a safe working environment, maintain cleanliness in food handling, and strive for continuous improvement in product quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the supervisor in managing daily production activities, including task assignments and training for production staff.
  • Step in for production shifts when the supervisor is unavailable.
  • Comprehend each phase of product flow within the assigned area or throughout the facility and assist in training both new and existing employees.
  • Perform all operator duties, including record maintenance, equipment operation, shutdown, and cleaning.
  • Fill in for absent production personnel with minimal notice, as needed based on departmental requirements.
  • Prioritize safety in all operations.
  • Ensure all produced items meet established specifications.
  • Verify that equipment operates within acceptable parameters.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Adhere to and enforce all GMP, HACCP, safety, and plant documentation policies and procedures, reporting any noncompliance to the supervisor or manager.
  • Exercise discretion in protecting customer, company, vendor, and employee information.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, employees, and peers.
  • Handle challenging situations with diplomacy.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify and address priorities effectively.
  • With a mindset geared towards continuous improvement, identify opportunities to enhance processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in the dairy or consumer goods sector, along with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Certification and/or License may be required during employment.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and company computer systems.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities as a self-starter capable of setting direction.
  • Work collaboratively and foster effective teamwork.
  • Interact positively and work efficiently with others (interpersonal skills).
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Manage challenging or conflict situations with professionalism.
