NIGHT SHIFT FROM 5PM TO 5AM
Support the supervisor in managing the daily production activities and resources, including work assignments, training, breaks, and vacation coverage for production roles. Lead a shift while ensuring the production of high-quality products and completing all assigned sanitation tasks. Optimize the efficiency of all machinery while reducing turnaround times. Ensure adherence to all GMP, HACCP, safety standards, and other regulatory and plant policies and procedures. Meet all production targets or document and report any reasons for not achieving them. Promote a safe working environment, maintain cleanliness in food production, and continuously seek to enhance product quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the supervisor in overseeing daily production activities and resource allocation, including work assignments and training.
- Support production shifts in the supervisor's absence.
- Comprehend each stage of product flow for the assigned area or throughout the facility and aid in training both new and existing employees.
- Perform all operator duties, including record maintenance, equipment operation, shutdown, and cleaning.
- Fill in for absent production personnel with minimal notice, based on departmental needs during the scheduled shift.
- Prioritize safety in all operations.
- Ensure all produced products meet established specifications.
- Verify that equipment operates within accepted parameters.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follow and ensure adherence to all GMP, HACCP, safety, and plant documentation policies and procedures by others. Report any noncompliance to the supervisor or manager.
- Exercise discretion in protecting customer, company, vendor, and employee information.
- Maintain a collaborative working relationship with customers, vendors, employees, and peers.
- Handle challenging situations with diplomacy.
- Demonstrate the ability to recognize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify process enhancement opportunities.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in the dairy or consumer goods sector, with demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Certification and/or License may be required during employment.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and company computer systems.
- Exhibit leadership qualities as a self-starter capable of setting direction.
- Work collaboratively and foster effective teamwork.
