Job Summary

StarPlus Energy, a leading joint venture between Samsung and Stellantis, is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Innovation Engineer to join our team in Indiana. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our company by driving innovation and excellence in our battery manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting processes and systems to drive business improvement
  • Design and implement a standard dashboard for tracking and monitoring key KPI metrics, ensuring data-driven decision making
  • Establish a continuous improvement tracking program to foster a culture of excellence
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and address key performance metrics, driving business growth and efficiency
  • Champion the Samsung SDI Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to other StarPlus Energy leaders
  • Work closely with the Operations team to drive improvement initiatives within manufacturing, ensuring seamless execution and delivery
  • Complete additional assignments from the Manufacturing Innovation Director, as required
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or management equivalent
    • 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience in performance metrics related to manufacturing
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Windows suite
    • Proven capability working within cross-functional teams
    • Skilled in handling multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proven self-starter and motivator

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience working within automotive or Tier 1 supply
  • Understanding of KPI utilization within a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) operating system or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) or Big Data systems
  • Battery manufacturing experience
  • Experience with inspection systems, including vision, laser, CT, X-ray, etc.
  • Experience in highly automated equipment
