Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at People's Community Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments
  • Prepare patients for visits and procedures
  • Document patient information and vital signs
  • Administer medications and store them according to clinic policy
  • Collect lab specimens and escort patients to the lab
  • Administer immunizations and injections as needed
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and work collaboratively to implement changes
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of a medical assistant program from an accredited school preferred
  • Experience in a medical setting preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant within the first 90 days of employment
  • CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of medical protocols and procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
