Role Summary:

The Peer Navigator Supervisor will oversee the Court-Based Navigator Program, which provides peer-led voluntary services to individuals released from arraignments or whose cases have been resolved. The role involves supervising Peer Navigators who utilize their lived experiences to offer both immediate and long-term resources and referrals to aid in reentry and stability. Key responsibilities include:
  • Supervising and guiding Peer Navigators within the program.
  • Managing a small caseload to facilitate community navigation and service access.
  • Documenting and inputting data into the case management system promptly.
  • Providing referrals to address various needs, including mental health, housing, and employment.
  • Accompanying participants to court and service appointments.
  • Coordinating with service providers to ensure effective follow-up and support.
  • Offering peer mentoring and skill development assistance.
  • Educating participants on accessing voluntary services.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development and attending necessary meetings.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
  • Lived experience in navigating homelessness, mental health, substance use treatment, or the criminal justice system.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Prior experience in a peer support role.
  • Some supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are advantageous.
  • Flexibility in work schedule.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Cultural competence in working with diverse populations.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to various program sites may be necessary.
