  • Prepare Clients for Interviews and Exams: Help clients prepare for interviews and exams, providing guidance and resources to ensure their success.
  • Complete Reports and Meet with Supervisor: Regularly submit reports on client progress and meet with the supervisor to discuss program effectiveness and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in education or a related field of study.
  • Certification: Certificate in Adult Literacy preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in an educational setting, with a high school or college background preferred.
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Computer Use: Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Lifting and Mobility: Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, stand, walk, or sit for long periods, and climb five flights of stairs if required for home visits and/or fieldwork.
  • Travel: Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation, and travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather.
