Residence Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residence Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our residential programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to Assistant Managers, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and consultants, ensuring they adhere to agency policies, OPWDD regulations, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff, maintaining accurate records of all certifications and trainings completed.
  • Ensure compliance with 624 Procedures for incident reporting and documentation.
  • Manage financial records, including petty cash, personal allowance accounts, and program budgets.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the residence and program vehicles, documenting maintenance needs and ensuring a safe and functional environment.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required, actively participating in discussions and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
  • Serve as an advocate for individuals served, ensuring their individualized needs are met and their rights are protected.
  • Participate in committees such as the Incident Review Committee and Human Rights Committee, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and program effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field, with at least two years of supervisory experience in a residential setting for individuals with disabilities. An Associate's degree with five years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong understanding of OPWDD regulations and best practices for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Proven ability to provide direct supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive a 15-passenger van safely and responsibly.
