The organization’s dual mission encompasses both advocacy for systemic change and the provision of comprehensive services, including employment assistance, educational programs, housing support, and mental health services. Fortune serves approximately 11,000 individuals annually, reflecting a diverse client base.

Position Summary:

The Peer Navigator Supervisor will oversee the Court-Based Navigator Program, which provides peer-led support to individuals released from arraignments or whose cases have been resolved. This role involves guiding Peer Navigators who leverage their lived experiences to offer vital resources and referrals that facilitate successful reentry and stability. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and directing Peer Navigators within the program.
  • Managing a small caseload, providing community navigation to enhance access to essential services.
  • Ensuring timely documentation and data entry into the case management system.
  • Facilitating service referrals to address various needs, including mental health, housing, and employment.
  • Accompanying participants to court and service appointments.
  • Coordinating with service providers to ensure effective follow-up and support.
  • Mentoring peers and assisting in the development of coping strategies.
  • Educating participants on available voluntary services.
  • Supporting individuals in their reentry from the criminal justice system.
  • Participating in program meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:
  • Personal experience navigating challenges related to homelessness, mental health, substance use, or the criminal justice system.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Previous experience in a peer support role.
  • Some supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is advantageous.
  • Flexibility in work schedule.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications is a plus.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Cultural competence in working with diverse populations.
Travel Requirements: May involve travel to various program sites.
