ROLE OVERVIEW

The Community Outreach Manager will collaborate with senior team members to execute community engagement and outreach initiatives for various projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and relationship building.
  • Identifying challenges and facilitating resolutions to enhance project outcomes.
  • Tracking project milestones and reporting progress to stakeholders.
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently, including the development of public information strategies.
  • Conducting stakeholder analysis to understand community perspectives.
  • Preparing materials for public meetings and events, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
  • Creating project timelines and staffing plans to meet client objectives.
  • Overseeing the contributions of team members to achieve project goals.
  • Maintaining accurate records of project expenditures and progress.
  • Engaging with community members to foster positive relationships.
  • Facilitating discussions and managing event logistics.
  • Developing communication materials, including presentations and informational brochures.
  • Evaluating engagement strategies and reporting on their effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, or a related field, with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Experience in translating complex information for public understanding.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Essential:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours when necessary.

Preferred:

  • Experience in event planning and management.
  • Basic graphic design knowledge.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms for professional use.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
