Job Summary

The Inventory Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by ensuring seamless inventory management and flow. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales goals and maintain backroom standards.

Key Responsibilities

HEARTS

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting every customer and using the F.A.S.T. service model to meet their needs.
  • Engage with customers about their projects while serving them at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor.

HANDS

  • Perform on-hand counts of physical inventory to ensure accuracy and account for all inventory.
  • Receive and unload truck deliveries with attention to detail, ensuring freight is organized and undamaged.
  • Process freight to ensure all merchandise is accounted for and ready for the sales floor.
  • Clean and organize the backroom, maintaining high standards in cleanliness and quality of work area.

MINDS

  • Consult with store management to resolve inventory discrepancies and improve product flow.
  • Merchandise product to catch customer attention and promote sales.
  • Continuously improve processes to create a better inventory flow throughout the store.

INSPIRE

  • Work with store management to ensure strategic freight planning and movement onto the sales floor.
  • Communicate freight plans to team members and promote whole-store participation in freight movement.
  • Partner with store management to align scheduled hours with inbound product flow for full workload coverage.

Physical Demands

  • Stand during an entire shift (other than normal break time).
  • Continuously walk around all areas of the store throughout the shift.
  • Read written instructions, reports, and other information on paper and computer screens.
  • Orally communicate with customers and team members on a consistent basis throughout the shift.

Expected Availability

Part-time status requires open availability to meet store needs. Part-time Team Members are generally scheduled to work less than an average of 28 hours per week. Full-time status requires open availability and the ability to work at least an average of 36 hours per week.

Education & Experience

Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience - 0-2 years. Preferred - Previous supervisory experience.
