Veterinarian - Animal Welfare Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team at the ASPCA. As a Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality, preventive, and basic care to patients, overseeing all aspects of veterinary care during a clinic day. You will work closely with our team to provide expert veterinary care to support the welfare of animals and their people through our stationary and mobile veterinary clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care to patients
- Oversee all aspects of veterinary care during a clinic day
- Perform pre-surgery physical examinations on all surgical candidates
- Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgical procedures
- Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications
- Provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care, our staff, and for our clients
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (or equivalent)
- Current New York State veterinary license
- Fear Free Veterinary certification
