About the Job
The ASPCA is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Animal Health Veterinarian to join our team at the ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH). As a key member of our veterinary team, you will provide high-quality, practical veterinary care to a wide range of outpatients and inpatients, while also contributing to our mission to prevent cruelty to animals and provide effective advocacy for their welfare.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, practical veterinary care to a wide range of outpatients and inpatients
- Manage medical cases, including diagnosis and treatment of outpatients and hospitalized animals
- Perform general procedures, routine and emergency surgery, and high-volume dentistry
- Provide a high level of customer service to external and internal clients
- Practice in compliance with Fear Free guidelines
Requirements
- Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary program
- NY State veterinary license
- Minimum 3 years of small animal medicine experience, or completion of a veterinary internship
