Salary: This position typically offers an annual salary starting at $59, with potential adjustments based on education and experience.

Location: This role is situated within INDOT's Seymour area.

Daily Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Overseeing project teams through all stages of planning, execution, and closure, adhering to established project delivery protocols to fulfill scope, timeline, budget, and other specified criteria.
  • Ensuring the completion of work scope in alignment with INDOT's quality, financial, risk management, and policy standards.
  • Monitoring overall project progress and technical performance.
  • Communicating project delivery efforts to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Understanding and reviewing all functional requirements to set clear expectations and predictable workloads.
  • Facilitating collaboration between design and construction teams.

Qualifications for Success:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Four (4) years of project management experience, or an Associate's Degree with two (2) years of project management experience, or a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Completion of Purdue's Project Management Essentials Course within the first 12 to 24 months of employment.
  • Capability to manage projects of low to moderate complexity and financial value, generally under $5 million.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan project scope and timelines in accordance with the project development process.
  • Proficiency in establishing and managing project budgets, with a solid understanding of financial implications.
  • Specialized knowledge of project standards applicable to rural, suburban, and urban settings.
  • Experience managing environmental documentation.
  • Familiarity with medium-level permit requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role may involve leading a designated work group.
