Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in collaborating with the VP Controller and various business units to create and deliver insightful financial analytics that support essential business strategies and informed decision-making. This position is responsible for ensuring adherence to finance-related policies, procedures, controls, and regulations, including tax compliance and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial management tasks, including the generation of financial reports, trend analysis, and performance assessment against forecasts.
  • Guarantee compliance with Federal and State tax regulations for both direct and indirect reporting.
  • Assist in the formulation, execution, and evaluation of accounting policies and SOX controls.
  • Facilitate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and controls.
  • Investigate technical accounting issues in collaboration with the VP Controller.
  • Support and initiate projects aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage project plans and budgets, monitoring actual costs to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives based on financial analysis.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting or a related field is essential, ideally within the medical devices or medical technology sectors.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • Advanced qualifications such as a Master's/MBA, CPA, or CMA are preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations is advantageous.
  • Experience in rapidly expanding organizations and start-ups is desirable.
  • Proficiency in valuation and financial analysis is preferred.
  • Ability to leverage detailed financial analyses and high-level pattern recognition to enhance performance is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a cross-functional environment and gain support across all organizational levels are required.
  • Capability to develop analytics that facilitate rapid, fact-based decision-making with incomplete data is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables, Formulas, XLOOKUP functions) and Power BI, is required.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA is mandatory.
