POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in the financial planning and analytical processes at Oakwood Village. This position is responsible for the formulation of the annual budget, conducting monthly variance analyses, and providing benchmarking insights to identify growth opportunities. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is integral to the financial health of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive annual operating and capital budgets
  • Provide insightful financial analytics and actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate on the establishment of key performance indicators and financial reporting
  • Lead the development of pricing strategies
  • Work closely with the Controller on strategic financial planning
  • Engage in cross-departmental teams to enhance operational efficiencies
  • Oversee fiscal management and profitability initiatives
  • Mitigate risks through effective contract management and cost-saving measures
  • Optimize investment returns through Treasury operations
  • Adopt a service-oriented approach with stakeholders
  • Offer informal leadership and support staff development within the Finance team
  • Perform additional duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and staff engagement
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a strategic perspective
  • Dedication to supporting both residents and business partners
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; an MBA is preferred
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in accounting and management is required
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and familiar with accounting software
