Position Summary:
The Finance Accountant/Analyst collaborates closely with the VP Controller and various business units to develop and deliver insightful financial analytics that support essential business strategies and decision-making processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to finance-related policies, procedures, controls, and regulations, including tax compliance and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute financial management tasks such as generating financial reports, analyzing trends, and evaluating departmental performance against established plans and forecasts.
- Guarantee compliance with federal and state tax regulations for both direct and indirect reporting.
- Assist in the formulation, implementation, and testing of accounting policies and SOX controls.
- Facilitate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and financial reporting standards.
- Investigate technical accounting issues in partnership with the VP Controller.
- Support and initiate projects aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and manage project plans and budgets, tracking actual expenses to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives based on financial analysis.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting or a related field is essential, ideally within the medical devices or medical technology sectors.
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced degrees or certifications such as a Master's/MBA, CPA, or CMA are advantageous.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations is a plus.
- Experience in rapidly growing organizations or start-ups is preferred.
- Proficiency in valuation and financial analysis is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize detailed financial analyses to enhance performance are required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment and garner support across all organizational levels is necessary.
- Capability to develop analytics that facilitate rapid, data-driven decision-making, even with incomplete information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables, Formulas, and XLOOKUP functions) and Power BI, is required.
- Eligibility to work in the USA is mandatory.
