Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, your primary duties will include:

  • Overseeing substantial software development initiatives.
  • Collaborating closely with architects, engineering teams, product managers, designers, and business leaders to ensure the successful delivery of these initiatives.
  • Possessing a profound understanding of software architecture and design principles.
  • Exhibiting influential skills by fostering strong relationships with stakeholders across Walmart, ensuring clarity on roles, responsibilities, and program timelines.
  • Defining objectives, critical milestones, and key deliverables for large-scale projects that involve multiple interdependent programs.
  • Prioritizing efficient resource utilization and timely delivery, while simplifying and clarifying priorities to create actionable plans with appropriate milestones.
  • Establishing a resource capacity allocation process to enhance planning efficiency.
  • Employing problem-solving and decision-making skills to navigate challenges that may arise.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery, managing demanding schedules and significant business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in system and platform design concepts, architecture, user experience design, services, APIs, and relevant technologies.
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships and collaborate with product managers to comprehend target personas and business process requirements, translating them into features and user stories for engineering teams.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability, coupled with a passion for data and solving complex challenges.
  • Expertise in change and risk management methodologies, project management tools, techniques, and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, JIRA Align, and Big Picture is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery, managing demanding schedules and significant business outcomes.
  • Project Management certification.
