Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Program Manager to lead our Fasteners Engineering team at Tesla. As a key member of our Materials and Fasteners Engineering group, you will be responsible for defining and delivering design and validation programs for fasteners across all engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Definition and Delivery: Define and manage fastener development and joint design programs, ensuring cross-functional alignment and visibility, and working closely with design engineering to drive these programs to a targeted, on-time completion.
  • Design Validation: Define and manage design validation programs, ensuring that these programs consistently hit milestones, and that output is accurately cataloged and reported.
  • Technology Roadmap Projects: Charter, plan, and drive to completion technology roadmap projects that will define the design and execution strategies of future engineering programs.
  • Concern Resolution: Structure timelines and drive to completion activities pertaining to concern resolution around the launch of new programs, including root-cause analysis, countermeasure development, and countermeasure validation.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Engineering Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Bias for action, strong organizational and presentation skills, and resource management ability are critical. Experience or interest in the automotive or manufacturing space preferred.
  • Experience: Experience or interest in program management, supplier engagement, and cross-functional engineering collaboration preferred. Experience with materials and fasteners testing techniques preferred.
