Community Support Specialist

Mat-Su Services for Children & Adults is a locally established non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Mat-Su Valley community since 1985. As a Community Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the health and safety of the individuals we support.
  • Facilitating the independence and freedom of individuals while fostering meaningful connections within the community.
  • Traveling throughout the valley to provide essential support for individual activities using personal or agency vehicles.
  • Working in individual homes or community settings.
  • Documenting the personal growth of individuals as a frontline advocate.
  • Assisting individuals with their financial needs, including banking and budgeting.
  • Providing one-on-one support to help individuals develop skills for greater independence at home, work, and in the community.
  • Serving as a mentor, role model, and enthusiastic supporter.

Work Schedule: Flexible Part-Time and Full-Time Opportunities

Shifts can be structured or flexible based on your availability. Morning, evening, daytime, weekday, and weekend hours are available, tailored to the needs of individuals requiring services.

Qualifications to Become a Community Support Specialist:

  • Must be 18 years or older and possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License and a vehicle with insurance coverage.
  • Current Tuberculosis (TB) Test.
  • Two (2) Professional References and Three (3) Personal References.
