TEAM LEADER - COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Position Overview: Under the guidance of the Community Services Supervisor, the Team Leader will oversee, support, and manage the Direct Service Providers while also designing, executing, monitoring, and assessing community support initiatives that empower individuals to thrive as valued, engaged, and self-sufficient members of their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Direct Support
  • Facilitate Consumer Support Networks
  • Program Development and Evaluation
  • Manage Scheduling and Payroll
  • Ensure Health and Safety Standards
  • Coordinate Compliance with Policies and Procedures
  • Handle Administrative Tasks
  • Manage Financial Responsibilities
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Flexibility in hours is required, including some evenings, on-call duties, direct care, and weekend work.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience in developmental disabilities, special education, psychology, human services, or a related field.

Experience and Skills: A minimum of three years of paid experience providing direct services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, along with three years of supervisory experience. Alternatively, three years of direct service experience combined with five years of supervisory experience may substitute for educational requirements.

Licensure, Certification, and Pre-Hire Requirements: A current TB test; valid driver's license with five years of driving experience; acceptable driving record per agency standards; proof of state minimum required automobile insurance; clear background history according to the relevant background check program; five verifiable professional or personal references.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in intellectual/developmental disabilities, special education, psychology, human services, or a related field. Credentials from the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals are a plus. Previous experience in developing care plans, writing goals and objectives, and documenting progress towards achieving those goals is preferred.
