Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at Intermountain Health Park City Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Represent Intermountain Health and serve as the point of contact for patients entering our facilities.
- Ensure superior customer experience by identifying and resolving patient needs related to patient intake and care.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance, and contact information, and assist patients in completing necessary forms.
- Scans necessary paperwork and educates patients on financial assistance.
- Direct patients on next steps and inform patients about delays and wait times.
- Promptly schedule appointments utilizing provider templates and scheduling guidelines.
- Proactively request payments from patients on current and past medical services.
- Receive and process payments following appropriate procedures.
- Support administrative functions of the clinic, including working reports, addressing patient concerns, and performing paperwork.
- Coordinate with other care teams and employees to provide a seamless experience for patients.
- Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- One year of customer service experience, especially in a Hospital or Medical Office.
- Problem-solving ability, analytical skills, self-motivated, and able to work well in a clinic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Interact with others requiring the ability to communicate information.
- Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
- See and read computer monitors and documents.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
